I don't now if this is true.My website is 2 months old and is indexed by many search engines.I have about 71 backlinks and some of them are good.Also i have submited my URL to many bookmarks sites and i am not indexed by google.Maybe is a problem whit my website,i don't now.

In fact you could launch a new site, without relevant content ( just fews words) and be indexed ( homepage ) in less than 48h...In the same time if you site have many relevant contents and page, use webmaster tools can help. And sure, optimize each page with seo, create backlinks and more will increase your ranking.

 

Patience is the key, your site will be indexed eventually. You can do a few things to speed up the process though.
Add your website to google webmaster tools.
Submit a sitemap.
Submit your site to a few related directories.
Instal google toolbar and visit your site occasionally.

 

I've found that using both www.submitexpress.com and adding a description and a link pointing back to your site in your blog will normally get your site indexed pretty quickly

 

i tried to publish new article on my website. I take a portion of it and submit to social networking and bookmarking site, and the article got indexed within few hours.
