Google Webmaster Contradictory Results

Hi all,

This is in reference to one of my client’s website. Apparently, according to Google Webmaster tools results shown(position of the website on Search result pages) under the section of “Search Queries” are contradicting with my current rankings on SERP’s.

For example:

For one of my Keyword “Bucket trucks”, the Webmaster shows the following position for my website: (I selected the date range from April 22nd to May 22nd 2010)

Positions: 1
Impressions : <10
Clicks: <10

Position: 6 to 10
Impressions: <10
Clicks: <10

Position: 2nd page
Impressions: 140
Clicks: <10

But in the current search results , my website is not even appearing in top 100. Can anyone explain why Google would be reporting inaccurate data and what is the logic behind this discrepancy.

There could be many reasons for this... It depends on the nature of your current work on these keywords..Otherwise check it through other website. here is one http://sitemapdoc.com/Serp-Rank.aspx

I just checked one of my sites for a keyword I know that I am ranked in SERPS at #1 and the link you gave confirmed it. That's solid info.

Yes there are various sites which will lets you know your Website SERPS in various countries and All of the Countries as well. I am sure you will find the right SERPS of your website through these sites.

 

I think database is not update so this problem occurred.
