Is eworldpost a trusted resource? I have not heard about this anywhere else. Why do you think Google would want to not use Windows? I'm guessing Android OS for desktops...

Google doesnt want their employees to use windows because, there OS are already on development and Betas may be out.

Why doubt, google will sure give us updates :).

If it's at work and they provide the computer then they can make employees use some other operating system. I have heard that some employees login and do some work at home. It would be difficult to force them to use a different operating system at home, unless google provided this to them.

I can't understand why Google of all people had staff using Microsoft systems. :S

Actually, I was reading a while back a guy placed a CD labeled "Addressed to Assistant Manager *Whatever his name was*" in the parking lot of a Google building, the CD was backdoored with the guys RAT and when someone decided to take a look at their bosses "property" the whole network got infected and the RAT administrator actually ended up having root login access to several high value Google servers. So they must use Windows.

They should switch to a Unix system really, for a large company like that.

Yeah, I saw that post today somewhere else... but it's understandable if they're trying to stay safe from hackers --- unfortunately, I love my PC and have recently fallen for the iPad, but it lacks many things that I can do with a PC.

Even though Google has given their employees the option to switch to either Mac or Linux... I guess they would slowly make the use of chrome OS... compulsory! :)

I am still using Windows. It has more applications developed for it. And if i would be a google employee, i prefer it over other operating systems and will still use it at home. However, i am still open to using other OS.

I still use windows even though I don't play games on my PC anymore. I usually have to re-install every couple of months because of security issiues. Should change really . . .
