How to get rid of auto-posting on Facebook Profile Page

Discussion in 'Facebook' started by China_girl, Apr 1, 2010.

Most of the times, this following message comes automatically on my profile :

Lucilla and XXXXX are now friends.

Does anyone know how to get rid of it ? Is there any way I can stop it posting on my profile page ?

Right now I just manually delete, whenever it comes up on my profile.

Upper corner of your screen Account-->Privacy Settings should find the settings you are looking for.

You may do the Block List, but then you are over reacting.

You can't stop that. That was just a notification that you are friends from someone. Facebook are about making friends online so it is very unlikely Facebook would remove that.

Block is too much, you can do "Hide", that person will not show up again.

you place your cursor to the post that you don't want to see, the "hide" will appear, you simply click the "hide"

You mean the hide option also appears when you get your cursor on the feed which says :

Lucilla and XXXXX are now friends.

Hide is only option if you don't want to block that friend..

I think there should be some option in privacy also...

if you are not like that, use your manual way like you did.
Maybe FB doesn't put that setting because they think it's no problem give an unimportant update like that.

Wait, so this is appearing each time somebody accepts your friend request? Isn't this what's supposed to happen?
