I'm sure Joomla and Drupal are quite good. But for now, I decided to go with Wordpress for the quick performance I get on this for smaller web sites. As for considerations, Does anyone have experience with DotNetNuke and other ASP based CMS applications?

Joomla - Easiest to learn but not so flexible.
Drupal - A lot harder to start with and more more complex but far more flexible than joomla once you get used to it.

I'm building sites with joomla the last 2-3 years and just lately I started few projects with drupal.
Now I'm sure that I'm not gonna build any new sites with joomla.

But this is for me. What you will choose depend on the way you wanna work.
If you develop "company profile" sites for customers with lets say a gallery or even a simple cart and you wanna just finish the job an go to the next the maybe joomla is perfect for this.
On the other hand if you need to develop more complex sites with not so common data structures or different content types (other than articles) Drupal is the one.
Less or more i think both can do same thinks but with different approach.
For example joomla extensions are ready to install and use, often without even the need for styling, but drupal gives you more basic tools that you need to setup but the same time gives you a lot more flexibility

I think joomla is something between wordpress and drupal...

A simple web page with simple information, even smaller quantities even wordpress can do with that. But I agree with complexity of the site more advance CMS may become a requirement.

Not sure about what you mean here: "but in case of drupal we cant change" ???
BTW I have meet some people around the web that left Joomla and start working Drupal (including me). I'm looking forward to see the opposite happens. And i don't mean people that just give a try with Drupal and find it too hard for them...

I think the best way is to get extremely experienced with any of two CMS - Joomla or Drupal. There's no sense in trying to learn them both as it is always better to be very experienced in one niche than to be an average user of both.
If you go with Joomla you'll get a huge support from all people who are a part of Joomla family. And we have cookies! :D

I found that drupal gave more 'customization' but most (actually all) of the templates on the net are hideous. Joomla has a nice balance.

Are you sure ? Every CMS developers know Packt Publishing CMS Award is the most reputable CMS competition, I don't see Joomla win 1st place of any categories in 2009 & 2008 competition. but I see Drupal in the 1st place. Also in Cnet Webware 100 Winners 2009, I don't see Joomla but I see Drupal. So your personal opinion that Joomla is the best and award winning cms is only a joke :D

In comparison to the two CMSs there is no better option but rather a personal preference or skill set. If you are more developer oriented, and do not mind the learning curve of Drupal, then Drupal would be the favourite of the two, if you are more on the art or design side, then Joomla would be the better choice, its not to say that a designer can not choose Drupal or a developer should not use Joomla once again it comes down to a matter of preference. Install both on a test server and see which one suites your needs accurately.

    Joomla is Best Language.
Joomla is one of the leading content management systems in the world. A content management system is a software that allows a website owner to update the website content themselves without prior web design or technical skills.

In general, the respondents were slanted a bit more toward Joomla users than Drupal users. Their roles when working with their respective CMS's break down to the largest group being Project Managers, and other large groups including Programmers and Designers. The Drupal users were, somewhat unsurprisingly, more experienced, with a median of 7 years experience in web development, while Joomla users claimed 5.
