I'm a big fan of comodo. It's free, and it's really powerful for what it is. The only thing I don't like is the sandbox feature

    Hi,
I checked their site, but didn't find a free version. There's a trial version though. Is that what you are talking about?
What is the limitation with the trial version?
    Thanks :)

    hi there

I suggest you "dr.web" for a full system scan.
I normally use kaspersky antivirus. In addition to that, a periodic system scan with dr.web is very very useful..

This year I am using McAfee Total Protection. Last year I had PC Security Shield Internet Security Suite. Both work equally well. But I also have SuperAntiSpyware which I fire up and run periodically, even though I have the other internet security software, because I find that it does an outstanding job in finding any harmful software on my computer and it does not conflict at all with my existing internet security software.

Kaspersky security suite 2010, have done for the last few versions now, used McAfee and Norton in the past was not impressed with either. Also used AVG free anti virus with Zone alarm free in the past but again not impressed with them really but hey they were free I suppose.

I use McAffee and could have gotten away with just the basics windows firewall if I didn't do so much online survey filling out (downloading their malware spam toolbars)

I would recommend just base windows firewall
