Tell me if im wrong but i thought the google sandbox didnt rank sites untill they are at least 6 months old. I started babe-forum.com in march of this year, the domain was regged a month before. Keyword: babe forum Position 306 I know its not the best posistion but it shows im outta sandbox. How did this happen?
I was gonna ask the same question... I don't think it means anything to be honest buddy. When you get your top 5 ranking then I'd celebrate. Not 'till then.
I've got a few (long phrase) #1's on Google within a month after launching a site. Don't see any signs of sandbox - just rank crap because I have no links yet. You're only IN the box when you rank lower than you would have if the site were sa 3 years old with all the rest being the same (link age then ranging from 3 years as well). Doesn't seem to me as if you're in or even out. In only when you have as many links as the number 1 to 10 for that pharse.
ya .. considering the keyword in a quite competitive one .. i may suggest may be the site is just having a new-site bonus, and will be going down to nowhere later.. (but i hope this is not the case) I have a #1 kw that is not competitive at all .. i got it within 15 days althought i ranked high for this kw .. im still no where to be found on other highly-competitive kw .. that suggest that im still in the sandbox
The sandbox would be more like what happened to one site of mine. I built a site and it got to #2 at Google after a few days. It was there for almost 3 weeks, then vanished. Couldn't be found even in the first 1,000 results. And it is still lost in cyberspace, although it is ranked at second page at MSN.
So come on then guys... It seems as though we all have different definitions of what the sandbox looks like from our end. What in your experience is it that are the tell tale signs of a site being stuck in the sandbox. Is it Titles and Description missing from pages? Is is an inability for a site to rank for it's own name? Is it a complete disapearance from the search results? Come on guys, what is it that you think is the sandbox... This should be interesting. I expect a lot of opinions on this one.
This is mine: So if Site a: new 200 IBLs of a fixed set of anchor text 200 pages fixed content Doesn't rank well VS Site b: 3 years old 200 IBLs of the same fixed set of anchor text but links older than A's 200 pages of same fixed content Does rank well Then A is IN the sandbox. Could go hand in hand with funny site: results - page counts - descriptions etc. but not necessarily.

Read their patent filed on March 30th. It has "Sandbox" written all over it. Apart from actually naming it that way. Document age they call it with a document being a site, not a page. PS not suggesting everything from their patents is implemented...
I'm just stirring up trouble I just know that some people argue black and blue that the sandbox doesnt exist.
I agree with Tops, all sites rank for some keywords, even if it's www sitename com, so it's not the complete absence from the SERPS.
People who say the sandbox doesn't exist tend to be a) Have one old ass site b) Don't do any link building c) are retards
I don't think ranking 306 means anything. I have ranked #1 with google on a new domain for obscure keywords within a week. If you were ranking in the top 10 for a highly competitive keyword, then that is a different story.
I think your site is in the 'sandbox', I've found this site: http://roberttaft.com/ Here you can find your Google search engine result page position without sandbox (Blood Bloop Hilltop) filters. Don't know of this site really works but it gives different results.
