Different Meta Keywords & Description On Every Page?

Discussion in 'Keywords' started by StrangeLife, Sep 19, 2006.

    Hello
    This question has probably come up before, but I want an expert opinion.

    Is it important to have different meta description/keywords tags on each page of your website which represents the content?

    For example I would change this coding on every page to represent the content:

    A page about funny movies for example:
    <meta name="keywords" content="funny, movies, fun, videos, clips" />
    <meta name="description" content="A page about funny movie clips bla bla bla"/>
    Code (markup):
    A page about bikes for example:
    <meta name="keywords" content="bicycles, bikes, motor, bmx" />
    <meta name="description" content="A page about bikes bla bla bla"/>
    Code (markup):
    Obviously i would be more specific in the coding to represent the actual content
    Thanks in advanced.

    I think your meta keywords and description should be based upon the content of that page...so yes change them for every page

    The meta is being generally ignored by big search engines - mostly because of keyword abuse practices.
    Nevertheless, it's still beneficial to have description/keywords/title relevant to every page's content.

    I think you should have different meta keywords and description on every page as having the same title and description for all the pages gives a very little chance to get traffic on your site for more specific topics.

    But should you do your main keywords within every meta tag? For example, for a website about ladies night out and i have a page on doing a supper club, I would do both ladies night out and supper club?

    is it ok to have just one keyword in the keyword tag for each page? or should I try to have more keywords so that I get more searches for different keywords?

    You can have just one it won't hurt anything, however 5 - 7 keywords would be better. Remember, too many keywords in a META tag can "dilute" the value of your most important keywords, so don't use too many keywords.

    In my view. There are 4 factor to get good web site and analize keyword, title,desc. i mean according to content text we can generate keyword,title, dese so all the page will not same content. there will be different text so keyword,title and desc must be different so i suggest to add different keyword, titel and desc
