Optimizing for local search volume

Hello everyone, I m in need of some gr8 help here. I would like to know how can I get google page first for local search volumes. I m trying to target some keyword country wise but havnt succeeded so far. I ll be in gr8 debt if some comes with some tips here.

I agree with getting a local domain, this is the best option.

But if you have a .com domain, in Webmaster Tools settings, you can set the Geographic target, which can be any country you want. However, domains from other countries will still rank better than yours, if they are more relevant to the search.

 

promote or link to sites that are on the local market you are trying to target.

 

Promote your sites on Google, Yahoo and Bing local business center would be the best channel. Of course, targeting some local relative keywords and optimizing for them would also be OK.

i think local links too is that good too from same local domains.

 

Well, the best example to get more tips is to look at the sites already listed on local search. Emphasizing more about the specific location both in your contents and anchor text really help..

 

Local domains or links from sites that are located in that area/region.

 

Use State/region name in your targeted keyword and use it as anchor text.
