What's the difference between Niche Directory and Free (General) Directory??

 

You don't know what "niche" and "general" mean?

Seriously?

 

Yes Really I don't know because I have done only Free Directory

 

General means everything is included.

Niche means just a "corner of the market" or small segment.

 

Directory Submission (free, paid, reciprocal)

-General ( directory about all) eg. -yeandi.com

-Theme (A niche directory is only about one topic like wedding, career, books etc) eg. -indexbridal.com

-Country wise ( Particular country - USA, UK etc ) eg. -usadirectory.biz

 

Niche directory means related to your keyword and we should go for it

 

Niche emphasises the related to your catagory of website or in other words the theme of your web pages like education, career, shopping, fashion, sports or anything...
General directories use to come out covering all theme, niche directories come with dedicated theme only.

Free directory is like General Directory...you can see all categories from Art to XYZ there.
BUT
in Niche Directory you browse your theme related sub categories on site.
Ex: Home>wedding directory> ]wedding planners

Peon is right.It is good if we submit in niche related directories.
