Hi guys, So, I'm new to this affiliate marketing stuff [isn't that the usual greeting, to excuse our noobness?] Ok so here's the question. I am simply overwhelmed by all the information I am getting from my vendor. He has graciously put together a huge PDF which goes over exactly what to do to be an affiliate for him. Everything seems above board. The problem is me. 1. I am anal, beyond belief. I go over every paragraph 10 times before reading the next one. 2. it is taking me forever to get through this. The question is this: given that this is taking so long and I want to be perfect, I had a thought. Could I simply make a PPC campaign on facebook or something and just make a direct link to his sales page with my clickbank code in it? Or would that be shooting myself in the foot by not making my own page, and collecting email adresses. I'm operating at zero cash incoming right now. I just thought to get some cashflow I could do the ppc campaign.
Affiliate marketing is providing potential customers to your affiliate partners through various internet marketing methods. Mostly you can place banners or ads on sites approved by the affiliate network and make money through every positive referral you make. It is one of the simplest way to earn money online, all it takes is internet knowledge and internet marketing techniques.
which affiliate provides so much info? of course you are able to make a PPC campaign linking directly to the sales page, however a lot of marketers suggest that this technique yields the lowest conversion rates, if you can either have a landing page which can review the item your selling giving it a personal touch then the sales page can do the selling alternatively provide an optin to collect emails which will allow you to target a buyer with multiple selling opportunitiies not just for this product but for others in the future.
The 3 tips to creating profitable affiliate marketing niche ideas is: 1. Choose a niche or product that you know a lot about and would enjoy promoting as this will help your conversion rate. 2. Use the Google AdWords Keyword Tool to help you in breaking down your main niche into micro niches and checking popularity and advertising competition. 3. Remember to make sure it is a niche or product that people will buy and that you cannot find it for free.
I saw a video of this guy who did that. first he showed the vendor's sales page and said it was horrible, which it was. then he made his own page, which was passible. Then he showed him bypassing the vendors page and going directly to the checkout page via his own hop. Granted his page was much better than the vendors. Also in another thread there was a complain about a vendor who upsold the customer, captured their email, and then cut out the affiliate. Going directly to the sales page from your own page, I THINK, would take the vendors tactics out of the equation. Noone suggested the vendor did this on purpose, it's just that once the customer finally decided to buy, the affiliates cookie was long gone out of the long list of emails back and forth.
Even though you may find a great keyword with AdWords tool that still doesn't mean you can rank for it. A tool called traffic travis (free) will help you with this. In the program watch the videos and use the analyze keyword tool. It will provide you with a star rating for easy to rank for keywords. Many other tools are available but they are not free. Regarding PPC: Yes you will be shooting yourself in the foot if you bust out with a ad with no experience. PPC is a art in itself that I have not yet perfected, in addition I like the organic end of things, unless the product calls for PPC. Effective PPC campaigns offer bonuses. Have you a bonus to offer? BTW, if your linking directly to his product you will be doing your page (website) no good. Most PPC advertisers do not allow you to directly link to affiliate offer anyways. You will most likely need a landing page and lead to your offer from there. Now this is where your content writing skills come in to play. Just keep reading and learning. In time it will all click. Good luck and listen to positive thinking material such as Brian Tracy and others very frequently. We're all glad to answer questions you have so feel free to ask away. Mike.
