Paying an SEO Company

I need a little advice. I recently ended my contract with a company that was linkbuilding (didn't do a great job), directory submission, article submission and press releases for a 5 keyword campaign. I can't say they were all that good, but 2 of the 5 keywords that were fairly competitive did make the first page of G and Y. All techniques used were white hat and all in all I like what they did, just didn't like the price.

My question is since most of what they are doing is pretty automated is there a software program I can use or someone here that would be willing to continue a 5 keyword campaign for my company? I want to continue pushing my keywords while adding additional keywords, but I think for the cost I am currently paying it can be done cheaper. Maybe some of you can give me ideas of what a small campaign like this should cost me. Feel to PM me information as well.

    Thanks!!

I don't know why you are looking to outsource the campaign, you can do it with your own.

Thanks for your reply. That's sort of my problem, I don't know how or what software to use. I have 8 full time jobs :), so I don't really have the time to do it. There is a will, but have yet to find the way.

It all comes down to what you think is expensive. coupled with the difficulty of the keywords. Good linkbuilding takes time - its not just a case of using a piece of software

You could easily do it yourself with not too much time and just a little effort. There is a great software for small businesses called DIYSEO. It's a completely white-hat software which guides you through the steps you can take yourself to get your site optimized, on-site and off. I have used it for a budding site and the interface is fantastic and it's really easy to learn. I actually work for an SEO company and we wanted to see how the software works. We like it so much we're recommending it to small businesses with tighter budgets than our services allow. Of course, if you want to see what another company might do, we are running a fun little promotion right now and you can win a free site analysis.

For all you know, this other company might have been using a program also.

Automated programs are not going to get you any better results. You need an original thinker
