How to upgrade to premium user ?

Discussion in 'Keyword Tracker' started by Merlin-Sweden, May 13, 2010.

Hello, I cannot find any link or information telling me HOW to upgrade to premium user.
(No hits in the site search motor either)

I wish to use the premium service "run keyword tracker automatically" I guess that would be daily or weekly ??

Is there a possibility to set the preferred time of day ?
Is there a possibility to store a report some place ? ( either html or excel readable ? )

thanks for a most useful tool

many thanks for the very fast reply.
I tried to send thanks earlier, but my message was blocked because my sig had a link to my site.
( thought that was one of the perks of paying for premium . . . no matter. its no big deal)

I have set up nightly Keyword tracker scans, but i'm unable to find any possibility to choose a run time for the scans (to spread out the different groups of keywords over an hour or so in order to look like a human.)

Now we have a more important problem to contemplate:

My I/P address has been placed on Google's black list with the following message every time I try to search with Google

    "Google
    Sorry...
    We're sorry...

... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.
To continue searching, please type the characters you see below:"

This started exactly the same day that I initiated nightly scans :( but are the scans run from MY own I/P or are they run from YOUR own server ??
In the first case i would obviously require to have my PC switched on ? and probable even be logged into DP.
in the latter case, surely Google would not be aware of my own I/P address ? ? ?

Maybe this is just a coincidence, and something else has bugged Google, but nothing that i am aware of . . .

    advice appreciated thanks

There is not a mechanism to schedule a specific time for the automated run, but you can sort of schedule it by using a task scheduler on your computer or a server you have...

if you are technically inclined, you can setup an automated process on your end to make an HTTP request for the 'Check All' button in your account. If you make an HTTP request of: http://login:password@www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/?action=lookupall, it will trigger the check all action automatically. If you have access to a UNIX or Mac OS X machine with curl installed, you can make a cron job for it by adding the following to your /etc/crontab file:

    xx yy * * * root curl "http://login:password@www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/?action=lookupall"

where xx = minute of the day and yy = hour (in 24 hour format) you want it to run for you.

You can download curl (even for Windows) from http://curl.haxx.se/.

For Windows you can setup an Scheduled Task under your Control Panel. At the end of the config, choose to go to the advanced properties window and add a space and the above URL to your command (after the curl command).

As for your other question, the requests run from whatever computer/server you installed your advanced usage script on.

thanks for a perfect solution, the task scheduler solves the problem, I can spread the scans out over an entire day.
Thanks for the time you took to assist with such a professional answer,

I'm already a premium member and I also registered an account for your keyword tracker tool. I see the instruction on keyword tracker tool page "Link your account to your forum account to get extra functionality." but HOW do I link it? Where? What exactly should I do?

    Thanks!

On 10/1/2010 my updates have not been running via cron.

Is this method by cron no longer able to work?

Is there a change in the url to make it work by cron as before?

Is premium member now the only method?

I upgraded to Premium on or around the 14 May ( with your assistance)

"Assuming you bound your forum account to your keyword tracker account, you do it here:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/payments.php"

Yesterday my premium keyword tracking downgraded to 20 results, no automation etc.

Do I have to pay monthly ? have I misses something ?

2nd question: Love the new product but would appreciate a few words advice how to use the graphic/charting part of the program. It would be nice to follow results applied to a time line ;)

    many thanks

Premium members can do it monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or yearly.

What part of the charting portion is giving you errors/problems exactly?

Many thanks. payment for the next 6 months made; all services restored within seconds. :) great

I never succeeded to make any charts. Whenever I select a keyword from the drop-down ( assuming that i have chosen charts and created a chart name) I always receive the same error message: "invalid ID"

thanks for the outstanding support Shawn,

    Tony - Sweden

Go ahead and try it now... there seems to have been a stray HTML entity in there that was causing a false error.

    thanks again :)
