How many WP blogs can I install in a single host account ??

hi friends i wanted to know how many wordpress blogs can i install with absolutely
different domain names (not on sub domains) in a single hosting account with unlimited plan.

 

That depends on what you're "unlimited" plan consists of. You can install as many as you need as long as you can create a database for each one.

 

same as hav0c, that you can install as many as wp blog at one hosting but it also depend on the capacity of your hosting. suppose you have unlimited space of host you can have a wp blog as many as possible at your hosting

 

thanks you friends i will manage my host to give all the functions for unlimited and standard plan and will launch 2 - 3 sites in a single account.

 

If I have taken the business plan of hostgator view its details here : http://www.hostgator.com/compare.shtml there also written that DOMAINS allowed is UNLIMITED,
if i am using this then can I have multiple WP on the host with deferent domain names like abc.com, atoz.com, basd.com etc on the same account.

and with wordpress can I also run a website on this account only

 

If ur host has unlimited no of addons and db u can build as much as u want.

everyone is right. so far.

however, the more WP sites you add, the slower each site will become. How might you ask? if you have one site with WP, you have no probs with processing power. You have 2 WP sites, and it splits the processing power in half. You have 3 WP sites, you have split the total processing power in 3, etc. etc.

so you are more than welcome to add as many sites as you want, but just know that the more sites you host on one account, the slower YOUR account becomes. And keep in mind that Google does take into account how fast your site loads in their ranking of your sites.

More WP Sites = slower sites = lower google rankings

OR what you can do, is you can opt for multiple hosting accounts. Why? well if you do that you can still get all the processing power that is required to each site.

BUT! most people will not do this because you then spend more money.

depends on the number of databses you have , also you can install more than blog on single data base but use differnet prefix for

database tables

That depends on the hosting account !As for me ,I can only install one!

 

If your webhost provide unlimited domain hosting ,unlimited sql databases and unlimited webspace then you can install unlimited wordpress blogs per domain .
BUT
Problem is created when your unlimited installed blogs needs heavy bandwidth .Almost every webhost clears in its terms and conditions that in shared webhosting if an account affects other accounts performance ,it is terminated or suspended .and you are asked to upgrade your hosting plan simply buy more bandwidth .

In theory, you can host as many as you want, but in practice, if they get a lot of traffic I think you might notice that your site's performance deteriorates - you may even get a warning from the host for using too many resources (yes, even on an "unlimited" account). It really depends on the host, though.

If you're planning on running a lot of sites, a VPS or dedicated server might be a better choice.

 

if your host allows only one domain than one site, if allows multiple domains than many wordpress installations,

It would depend on how many MySQL databases you were allowed, not domains.

 

Depends on your hosting. In Dreamhost unlimited.

 

As many as you want as long as you have enough room on your sever, also don't forget to create a new DB for each of them or you will ruin the sites you already have.
