I dunno. Perhaps suggest it to an appropriate category (if you haven't already done so) :)?

Agree with jimnoble - Be as accurate as possible in selection of the appropriate category.

Don't forget it can take from a few days to a few years for a site to be reviewed for a possible listing and also re-submitting can just delay that process with too many submissions being seen as spam and site blocked.

Don't bother, a couple of links from anywhere will be cause your blog to be picked up from Google, and Google treats reacent blog entries as "fresh content" and boost them in the SERPs until freshness expires. You don't need the ODP for that. You don't need the ODP link at all, in fact, for any website. It's just even more true for blogs.

I would submit to dmoz in the appropriate category. Then, make sure that you actually click on all of the links in that category and make sure that all the sites are actually live. There may be a few sites in the category that are not currently live sites and you may be able to buy those sites or domains and redirect to your own site.

That would be a TREMENDOUS waste of money. I challenge you to spend your own money on such a hare-brained scheme, and report on honestly on the complete lack of results.

It's not important, lulabie. Google has already seen your site, if there exists a link to it on any indexed page, and evaluated it. Don't bother trying DMOZ anymore, there is no benefit. There probably hasn't been any benefit since 2002. Evolve! Embrace progress!

you have to choose the appropriate category with your blog, then you need to wait for about 2 weeks to a month....

If you mean, "How long until a volunteer ODP editor looks at my site suggestion?" ... the answer is "When one of them chooses to look at the pool of suggestions in that particular category." In other words, nobody knows when that may happen.

On the other hand, if you would like someone to review and list your site in a directory within a certain time frame, you will need to look at those directories who offer a listing service. DMOZ doesn't do that.

Really? I thought the perceived problem here was that ODP editors refuse to be forced into doing what they haven't volunteered to do.
