iFrame detected error

Discussion in 'Security' started by crazyblogger, May 1, 2010.

I am maintaining a site and whenever I open this site, my antivirus (Avast) says iframe detected and the site doesn't open. I have manually deleted the iframe code from index page but the result is same. How can I remove this iframe error. I am running out of ideas here.

    Your help is highly appreciated.

Have you cleaned browser cache ctrl + f5 ? Can you use something like Fetch as Googlebot in webmaster tools to ensure that iframe is cleaned?

try cleaning your cache or if you are unable to, then try loading the page with a different browser.

You have deleted iframe code only from your index but it has affected all your domain configuration files. Please recheck with site configuration files and other necessary files. Before proceed to remove iframe injection, change your domain FTP password and scan your local machine.

I would also look at the file permissions most likely cause of the problem

Well, the iframe can be inside your .js files or hidden in other places.

If you need help fully fixing it, PM me. (or visit our site: http://sucuri.net)

download all your script to your local pc, then scan it with antivirus. if detected, remove the iframe code. then scan again.
