I need a host that can handle a load of 3000gb/month and 25k uniques/day at peak, name your prices. I will also sign up under a referral link if you can provide good information about your host.

    aplus.net has one at $350

cihost.com has one for $99 (I'd probably be careful with them unless you know someone who uses them - a little too cheap)

    nexpoint.net $300 and up

    hostik.com - $130 and up

Theplanet.com is the lowest cost high-bandwidth retail hosting you're going to see. You better be able to run your own servers though cuz u ain't gettin' no support from them.

Why would I not get support? I'm renting a dedicated server from them, they are obligated to give me support for their product. You aren't really making any sense to me.

If you get a single box you're OK, maybe even a firewall, but once you start talking about load balancers and multiple boxes they just can't do it. If you don't believe me PM me with your email address and I'll send you screenshots of hundreds of trouble tickets between me and them from the past 2 months having to do only with the equipment (nothing I could control) . One of the biggest problems is that there is only 1 guy who really understands complex network administration and he's so busy that it takes him hours to respond and they won't even call him until you go nuts.

Now if you do have multiple machines and you've never had a problem all I can say is God is on your side but sooner or later you will and you'll think of me :)

Why wouldn't I be able to use a single box? I'm not looking for shared hosting, I'm looking for a dedicated server.

Haw many visitors per minute max will you have? 25K/day doesn't tell me nothing. And what applications will you run? You need a managed box, or you can handle your server?

The sites that I'm looking to host are just html with images, no special applications. Visitors per minute I'm not sure, but I know that I will get at peak around 3,000 online in an hour.

if you are looking for bandwith then you can also try Asmallorange's extreme package, it offers 100GB bandwidth for $20 a month and $500Gb for $60. check the site for more details.

Then a p4 3.0+ GH and 1-2 GB of RAM ca handle that load. I would go for a dual processor or a dual core processor. Is safer. For good managed servers, it will be hard to find 3000GB for only 300$. If you can live with 2000-2500GB, you can find dual processors or dual core processor 2GB Ram, fully managed, Cpanel. For 3000GB you will need 50$ more.
