PR-6 link selling idea

I have a PR6 website that gets about 1,000 uniques per day. I am thinking of making the main page in the same style as million dollar homepage (milliondollarhomepage.com) and selling the pixel squares for about $10 each. My question is: will people buy a permanent pr-6 link for $10?

 

There are a few things to consider:
1. The "million dollar homepage" was a great idea that only worked on the original project. The thousands of clones had no success at all.
2. When peoples are buying PR links, they avoid sites with many outbound links.
3. Google also seems to penalize the sites with many outbound links, so your PR may decrease after starting the project.

I would rather recommend you to add some quality content on the site and to sell a limited number of links for a higher price ($xx/month).

 

Well, if you want to lose your PR6 then go ahead.
I am sure big G will penalize your site.

 

Q7m and erase are on spot! You will get penalized by google, loose your PR6, etc.

But another point that came into my mind: who would pay $10 dollar for a backlink on a site of hundreds/thousands? Everyone would be aware that they won´t get any traffic from this, and also the quality of the Backlink isn´t that high.

 

yes, this kind backlink will not give any good to the buyer...
even if i have money, i won't buy that, it is too crowded, no one can find mine, except i buy very large..
but after that the PR will drop to zero...

you can sell the link by other way, like blog roll link, article on your site.. ad banner and many other way...
