banner ads or text ads?

2. also which one brings in more revenue?

hmm i mean me personally i tend to click image ads more when i go to websites.
I think text ads make the website look ugly...just me personally when browsing other sites.

 

Image ads if you are targeting the content network. I found a striking image with a catchy phrase in text draw on top of the image works best for me.

Text ads should only be used on the search network, I think visitors are blind to text ads on content network pages.

I prefer image and text ads (default) in google adsense. It help me to earn more value for click.

I think text ads generate more adsense click..

Image Ads Make less revenue since they are CPM (Cost Per impression)

And More clicks , we cant judge that because it varies per resolution, and the area kept and so and so.

But Image ads pays less and Text ads pays twice or thrice than image ads

For me, image ads is not good as text ads.
For you, I don't know. More testing, let the result tell you the truth.

 

image ads don't necessarily mean CPM ads...some are CPC ads too and when they CPC ads they pay a whole lot more than text ads pay.
So that is why it is kind of difficult to tell which is the perfect one for more revenue because even some text ads are CPM ads.

 

personally i prefer to run default ads (image+text) .. text ads does'nt make much $$ for me.

 

I will say different niche and different layout will cause the different result, for those game, entertainment, anime niche, image ads works better

 

Every adsense publisher has it's own experience when it comes to ads placement and income. in my experience, text ads works better that in image ads.

 

That again depends upon the niche too.
Most of the times, I do get good clicks for text ad but more money for an image ad.

most sites perform better on text ads. however, some sites will do better with image or link units. if you are not sure which ads are better for you and will pay more, only way you can find out is by experimenting. put an ad code on your site and monitor for atleast 2-3 days to get the average performance. then another ad code and watch it for another 2-3 days. pick the ones that perform better.

 

text ad seems to work better for me.

 

I seem to get better click through with text ads - perhaps because they look less like intrusive advertisements.
