    Hi Guys,
I was doing reaserch online for Back links. I was know that G has its own logic and Yahoo has its own. Ex if you see 2 back links for domain in Google from one domain same you see 9 or 10( pages links) in yahoo.( if you link is in footer as "designed by abc.com" ) etc. So diff in links falls by 8 to 9 which is huge.

SO how do we interpret the different links counts for yahoo and google??

I know relevancy and domain trust matters but which is more :|

Google doesn't show all the links in link:domain query. You should probably look at google webmaster tools (external links) and compare with Yahoo Site Explorer. They are quite similar in most cases. You will still see some differences because one of them may not have indexed some pages.

Thank for replay. I know G Webmaster shows all links but where as the SERP does not show. SO For SEO number back links which shows in SERP or operator driven result matters i guess:) so is thier any thought behind ???

Both Google and Yahoo have their own criteria of showing back links. I trust on back links shown by Google Webmaster.

So that's why it produces a very different result when I use link:domain search. Thanks for the info.
