I just launched www.FreeDeepLinks.com tonight. Main points:

    1. Deep links ONLY to articles... NO home pages, NO sale pages, NO press releases, NO blog entries (unless it's significant in length and not "newsy")... nothing but deep links to article pages.

    2. Regular links are free.

    3. No reciprocal links are required.

    4. You can submit as many articles to one category as you want... as long as they're appropriate.

    5. No adult or hate-oriented content, or anything else I may deep objectionable (controversial is OK... a lot of foul language, discussing illegal activities, etc. is not).

    6. If the articles on your site are from free article directories, it's OK to add them, but ONLY if no one else using the article already added it to that category.

    7. You're free to submit the same article to multiple categories, as long as they're relevant.

    8. Top level categories are for featured links only, and any free links submitted to them will simply be denied.

Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks. :) It's just an edit on the blue search template (or called something like that).

I have a question for anyone running a directory on phpld 2. (This is my first attempt playing with it.)

When I first set it up, I had some problems with the image verification. I tried case-sensitive, insensitive, etc, all with no luck... it would go through like 10 times and not work. I was using Firefox. Someone else emailed me saying they had the same problem, but they were using IE (I was hoping it was just a browser issue). But other people submitted large amounts of articles last night without a problem. Does anyone know what could be going on? I disabled it for the time being, and I'll leave it off unless I get massively spammed or something. But I'd like to know if there's a way to make it work right if I need it on.

    Thanks!

OK. I'm going through the morning's approvals, and noticing that there a good bit of home page submissions. Please read the rules before submitting. This directory is ONLY for deeplinking directly to article pages - not just homepages of sites that contain articles. Thanks. :)
