Frankly, NoX, I'm surprised you were approved for the Coop. First, your site is a game about "pimping hoes" -- charming. If that isn't bad enough, you have these links at the bottom of your home page: Coop editors? Shawn? What is this site doing in the Coop?
He can have the co op links on his site, but I do not think he will be able to link ads to it, as i believe it is adult in nature.
Well, I can't say I have a lot of interest in trying to help him figure out why his site isn't doing better... I'll leave it to other people...
Hi. I have over 2,000 points and I have been active in the network for 3 weeks. Is it likely that there will be no signs in my own logs, in Yahoo's links, or in teh Stats feature? Yes, quite likely, I'd say. First, 2000 weight isn't a lot compared to some of the Coop members, so you aren't going to be getting hundreds of impressions a day or anything. Second, you've only been a member for three weeks -- I'm not sure what you were expecting but nothing happens that quickly in the world of advertising or SEO. Third, what are you looking for exactly in your logs? Fourth, after three weeks, I don't know what you could expect to see in your Yahoo rankings, or your rankings on any other SE for that matter, that you could attribute to the Coop, good or bad. As for the stats, I don't know -- I'm not seeing much there either yet but that may be a function of how many people have comverted to the new scripts.
just so you know those links at the bottom are not even adult oriented. its just the name of the anchor text. and i dont see how my sites contect is bad? yes its of a "mature audience" in nature but in no way is it a adult site. and just for you i have changed the links anchor text to a more "apropreate" title. im sorry you guys feel this way. its just a game..
it's a game promoting illegal activities and horrible violence...so it is questionable in a lot of ways. but you are entitled to run a site you wish.
Minstrel, I was not expecting to see a change in SERPs, but I would think that in Yahoo's incoming links somewhere there would have been one link coming in. I looked at my logs and I have had about 40,000 visitors in the past 3 weeks - I could not find any Referring URLs from the Co-Op. While I buy that the STATS feature may take a while to work - I still see no sign that I have had my ad show even once ever. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Try MSN for backlinks, they tend to show up the fastest. I see mine there more often then not. edit: i have a teeny weight of 122 and i'm seeing a decent number of backlinks in MSN from the co op, so I know that mine are being shown.
I have seen some backlinks appearing in Google too but it took a while. The new stats feature, however, doesn't seem to be showing much of anything yet for me. And NoX, as Wendy said, it's a free country and you can create and run any site you wish. I found the theme offensive. Your mileage may vary, as they say. My comment about not helping reflects my preference not to have any involvement with sites that portray those values, game or no.
