doubts about video promotion

in some article i have read that in SEO video promotion is very effective..how it increases the site search results and how it increases the popularity of the website?..pls explain?

 

Well if you upload a video to youtube, you may be lucky to see your video from youtube on 1 st page of google to some searches. So if you watermarked your video, and added a url to your site to your youtube description you will get some traffic.

 

It is effective only if it has something really good. If you have some creative videos which has something out of the box which grab user attention then you will bang and most probably get lots of traffic from major videos sites like Youtube, Metacafe etc.

It is good to have your website name on video so that more people can access your website if they like your video.
Google showing universal results and there is very good chances that your video get ranked on Google first page if some one enters the query related to your video.
Titles are very important for any video. It is as important as your web page. It tells user and search engines to show or select your video.
Once you get momentum, your video get tons of hits and comments that tell the popularity of your video.

 

Having videos on YouTube can drive traffic to your site which is a part of SEO in that you are optimizing your site via the search engines...whether that means your actual site ranks high or a video (through the search engines) display info about your site that drives traffic. I know I'm stating the obvious but in my opinion, video marketing is less about getting a backlink and more about getting exposure to your site, message, product, etc.

It also depends on what "type" of traffic you want. A funny video that goes viral can easily send thousands of visitors to your site per day but if you aren't monetizing that traffic (not that you have to) then you will have a nice hosting fee to pay each month. Even a video that gets 10-100 views per day can earn you a lot of money, IF that's what you want out of video marketing. Overall, you are increasing your "SEO" by having more of a presence in the search engines.

Create a "Video Sitemap" and submit it to your google webmaster tools. Google has a pattern that webmasters are supposed to use for the video sitemap, so you might have to search through the google webmaster help section until you find the expected layout.

Once you submit your video sitemap, google will know which of your pages contain a video.

 

Video submissions may probably increase your websites traffic and its popularity too as most of the people in web search for video and stays to your site for much time to watch the videos rather to read a content!!!
