I was just wondering if anyone had tips on the whole conversation process when you are trying to sign up for affiliate marketing? Is there anything the managers like to hear when first talking to people or anything I should not mention? Also is this process a one time deal where if they don't accept me the first time I won't be able to try again? Thanks
When I signed up to cb and others I talked to no one, but just filled in the forms. Even choosing a program you don't HAVE to talk to some one, but it might really pay to find out more about the product you want to promote. Be honest. If you are interested it will show, if not, it will too!
Well, if you're signing up to Clickbank or Paydotcom then there's really no conversation. You're pretty much in automatically. If you're trying to join CPA Networks that's a whole other discussion.
If you have the traffic that matches the affiliate program's content/Publishers then you should have no problem. Just be honest, and clear and most times you will get in without a problem
The sign up process differs in case of different affiliate programs or services. The Clickbank and some other programs just offer a form and you have to fill it up. But the eBay, Amazon and other affiliate networks which are very sensitive and reliable are different. Typically they will first check your qualification of promoting and selling the products and then will allow joining the network. Sometimes they also keep under observation for a fixed length of time.
Depending on the type of affiliate program you are interested in, sometimes talking to affiliate managers helps as they will put you on a higher than standard commission plan
