    Hi,
it is just my ide, you have e-product with xxx title. If you will promotion by email, you must join in mailing list that people need your product. I think is easy and very cheap cost.
    thanks

Yes, it's definitely effective. You need to make sure you are marketing to the right list (laser targeted opt-ins for a specific niche).

yup.. in marketing mix theory we that 4P (price, product, place, promotion), so we know what is your product? How much is your price product? Where your product do you sale (place/market-need segmentation market), what is tools you need to promote? (e-mail, internet etc)... so if you choice email to promote tools, place your promote with considerate price & segmentation market.

All marketing works so long as you follow this formula "Message to Market to Media" Match. By that I mean your message (including what you are trying to sell) must get to the right market (Niche) through the right media.

Also you need to have a list that has been warmed up and ready to buy. It's no use trying to sell to a cold list if they don't know and trust you. Have you given them any value for them being on your list? What freebies have you given them recently? They need to be hot an sweaty and ready to buy before you hit them.

It's hard, because you have to walk a fine line between attempting to attract new business and SPAMming people. We all understand the 80/20 rule of marketing to your existing clients, but there comes a time where the well will dry up, especially with Internet marketing where most of it is based on attracting new traffic. As people have said, a strong, targeted email campaign can work wonders, but shooting out random "scatter-shot" emails tends to have little effect and can easily sully your initial image as your first point of contact will be a soon-to-be-deleted email in someone's INBOX.

Thanks for the valuable feedback. Sincerely, I have send a lot of mail and so far no feedback. Just wonder what went wrong. I think I need to revisit my list. Thanks again for the feedback.

You should try with bizzlink's advise"Ex. if you sell motorcycle jacket you must join in bikers group mailing list, i think you will get feed back", hope it can work for you.

By the way, where did you get the email list?

If you want a cheap way to promote your product but in an effective manner, then email marketing is just right but make sure the mailing list is related to you products....and all of them have opt-in..... otherwise you will be noted as a spammer...... goodluck.....

you need to make sure you have a list of people who requested to hear from you..then use a service like aweber or getresponse...or hosted software like autoresponseplus

Email promotions have proven to be effective for me, providing I do not cross that fine line which separates marketer and spammer. I agree with what most have said so far when it comes to WHO you are marketing to. Your sales and conversions will be much better if you advertise or sell your product to a list of individuals who are interested in your niche.
