    I never this url and i used to think it must redirect to google.com and hundreds of other google owned domains do.

    but its different wing. :)

    no mong, it doesn't redirect to google.com
    it's a new program google has started to help end poverty around the world.
    It's about as different from their search engine as you can get.

    My first time to view the site, I tought all related to google domain before are redirected to main domain so I never tried to open them.

    It's well known that most big companies hungry for money become "philanthropic" just to minimize taxes impact, not human necessity.
