Most probably your site is indexed (check site:yourdomain), but it is not visible in the search results due to the 'sandbox', which Google applies to new sites.

If you're cached, you're indexed. You want to make the distinction between being indexed and being ranked ....

The best way of getting indexed quicker is to get a couple of links form high PR sites. If you have 2 links from sites with PR7 you can get indexed straight away. The lower the page rank the more links you need. Then and there updation is very essential which makes your site to be frequently visited by the spider.

SEO takes time to show results. Make sure that your site is crawlable and that there are no issues with the On-Page. In the meantime, continue with Off-Page activities on a regular basis. Focus on targeting high quality websites for Off-Page promotion. Your efforts will bear fruit in due time.

We might be able to put more light on the issue if you share the URL.

Unfortunately, in most cases it is not enough, since everybody is doing that by default already...

Took about a little over a week for my site to get indexed,if you have submitted the sitemap and its visible in webmaster tools then it should appear eventually.Dont panic.

In your case, seem very bad. In my opinion, i use use wp blog and submit it to search engine and directory submission, then i could see all my page and main keyword appear on google for just a few days.
