Recently joined the network and love it!

However adding to phpnuke seemed awkward so I created a block for it :)

I have added to static links to the block
    1 for the coop
    and
1 for us for making the block

Hope this is of use to the community

Available emm apparently not til I post 10 times :D ahem

If it goes well I'll post it to the regular phpnuke sites so you may well end up getting a large increase in membership. (assuming thats ok with the owner?)

    Regards

    John

Explain how you did it. You can put your link; it just won't be clickable.

Cool. I'll have to try this later. I managed to get it working on a maxdev site a while back but phpnuke was a different story.

    Thanks.

John, where's is your coop spirit? The PHP & ASP code was given freely without any strings attached. - hell the coop is free isn't it.

But don't get me wrong it is your right to distribute your code as you see fit.

    hmmmmmm

Thought the coop link was fair enough given that most phpnuke sites are visited by non seo types

As for our link, well if people think it's a problem feel free to remove it :)

Just edit the block-coop_links.php and delete the relevant line and maybe the previous <P> line

    Hows that? :D

what part of which file needs to be edited to have the ad links pop up in a new window.

    with like "target=_blank" or "window.open"?

So people that click on the ads dont get taken away from my site?

    thanks

I dont see why that would be a violation of the TOS. I just hate to lose someone on my site when they click on an ad...then perhaps click on another ad...so forth so on...to a point where they are five or six sites or pages away from my site.

I dont mind this from my regular site members/visitors....however for people searching my site for the very first time could be "linked" away from my site and not remember the name of my site to get back.

I just dont wanna lose any opportunity to gain new members is all. And I would like to hear anyones ideas on why having an ad open in a new window would be detrimental to the Coop?

    Thanks

Well I guess I could put a disclaimer in the Nuke block that says. "Right Click on the ads to open them in a New Window"

I know some people even have their browsers set to open links in a new window. I was just concerned about the ones that didnt. I personally have been surfing the net before and started out on one site and ended up 3 or 4 sites away. Forgetting which site I started out on.

If its against the TOS and set in stone to never be allowed....so be it. I wont rock the boat.

But if someone can explain to me in the meantime how it would be detrimental to the Coop. I would appreciate the comment.

    Thanks
