New user interface is much better than Vista's

I think windows 7 are faster than vista, but slower than XP, so if you have no problem with XP graphics (which are not like vista, but are very good) then there are the best! Vista are very very slow, windows 7 are so beautiful and XP are fast.

windows 7 is 10 years newer than XP, like i said long long ago in this post, For that reason you can safely hardware matured maybe "a little", in 2005 we were still on 90nm transistors, hell, were on 32nm now! and that was 5 years ago, The average Ram is about 10 times higher (on 2000 i had like 512MB ram and it was quite good), OFC windows 7 is a bit slower, its SUPRISING how little the change is, besides, on my computer, if i would run XP, it wouldn't feel speedier, my workflow would be much slower also, it wouldn't be faster because my hardware is good enough to run 7 Good, which isn't that high of a requirement,
Also, Windows XP doesn't even support DirectX 10, which already is enough for me to upgrade.

Truth is, khongwir, about your comment, nobody's trying to "beat" XP, its a rock next to a machine gun, which one would you prefer using if crazy browsers With munchies would attack you?

I like everything about it but one thing. It has connection issues. I have read about them all over the place. Visiting sites sometimes, well a lot of times, I get an invalid url error and it will not open the site. Even for bigger sites like DP, myspace,etc...

That's all about when it comes to Windows upgrades since the failed WinME.

WIN98SE is still the best and faster version so far and can provide XP functionality. Of course it has limitations due to it was developed when nobody could imagine we would manage terabytes of information.

I guess if Microsoft would retake it will excell over all the other versions, but of course never if the improvement is only "eye-catching."

    Hello there,

I will tell you from first hand experience, all of my systems have been converted to Windows 7. I am not just saying it to say because I am affiliated with Microsoft. I can truly stand behind this product and tell you straight away it works very reliably, fast and extremely stable. The 64bit version is a real powerhouse as well.
Anyways, what to say about Windows 7?
There are several new features that are available with Windows 7 that will assist you with deployment and management of a large number of workstations. Enterprise IT infrastructures are increasingly complex to manage. The Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) is a dynamic desktop solution that is available as a subscription for Software Assurance customers. The solution suite enhances application deployment and compatibility, increases IT responsiveness and end user uptime, and helps reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) of your desktop software and IT management.
Also now available is MDT 2010 (Microsoft Deployment Tool) which will help you create images and automate the OS and application installations, data migration, and desktop configuration process. Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum specifically for IT Pros. It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback.

I've had no problems at all with Win7. I had XP on my desktop for years, skipped Vista altogether, then got a new desktop about a year ago with Win7 Ultimate x64, never had a single crash, blue screen, or strange behavior. Running quad core i7, 8GB DDR3 RAM. Smooth as a baby's bottom, and much nicer to look at (and work with) than XP in my opinion.
