Can I jump from PR2 to PR4?

I am PR2 and I think I have enough backlinks for PR4. Is it possible to jump directly to PR4 or I must go through PR3 first?

You could go from PR0 to PR10 with enough backlinks.

PR is not like a ladder step. You can archive any PR you wanted as long as you have enough high PR link pointing toward your website.

You can definitely increase the PR of your site - but this will not happen overnight. You need to steadily build relevant backlinks to your site.

It's possible but it's also impossible to know if you have enough backlinks so keep on working on it.

It is possible to directly get elevated to any PR... the basis of which is the number of backlinks you are able to generate from even higher ranked PR sites! :)

PR only counts based on enough backlinks? Is there any other factor that can affect PR?

yes you can directly jump to PR 4 from PR 2.
For this you will have to get good and high PR back links and traffic equally important so post the articles too.

FYI... PR has nothing to do with traffic... as I have seen many number of sites though having nothing to very insignificant traffic... still carrying a very good PR! :(

Yes you can, but you only need to wait for google's next PR update time. can you tell me , how you know that you are having enough backlinks for pr 4 ? google has not released any criteria for that, and who knows that google is not considering any other parameter then backlink only to assign PR to your site ?

You can go directly it is not necessary that your site PR increase in a sequence. When Google feels your site deserve for PR 4 it will increase PR.

Getting a high pr is based on quality and not quantity.

If you get a lot of high PR backlinks your page will jump because those sites that are linking to you will give your site a boost.

It's definitely possible to jump from PR2 to PR4. Even if you were PR0 you could still jump to PR4.
