Affiliate marketing for over 2 years but cant seem to get past certain revenue amount

Hi Guys,

So I've been doing affiliate marketing for more than 2 years and I just cant seem to break $35K per year in revenue. What are some of the things you are doing to market your website. I would love to know how successful its been and, other techniques you use to make it work or increase revenue.

$35,000 / Year = $2,916 per month. Isn't it good already? I have seen many ones cannot earn even a hundred per year with affiliate marketing. If you have doing this for two years and make such a revenue like this, I think you know the way already.

If you take a look at many successful affiliate marketer you will see one similar things among them. They have reaped out from their mailing list, the mail you have used to subscribe with them. Each of them may have some different unique techniques but most of them are not different. Why don't you just try to replicate their success first? Someone could replicate while someone not, but I would recommend you try out first.

 

Good Point SXPERM. I currently dont have a mailing list, and that is probably the first mistake I've made over the past 2 years. I could have probably leveraged this to increase revenue. I only just launched a blog to begin taking email and names, to market to them. Maybe this is the Key.

You should be extremely blessed to be making that much in Affliate marketing. most of us dream about making that much
through marketing, but I have to work a real job for this kinda of money..but as someone said before, if you make this
much money at what you are doing, then you should know how to make more...you had to do something to get up
to this mark, so just do MORE of it...aparently what you are doing is working so far...If I could even make $500/mo
without having to report to a boss, then I would be grateful for that...

 

You need to step past being an affiliate marketer and start creating you own products and or letting others promote it.

iPad typing so I will keep it short. If you can manage to do 35k a year pushing products yourself just think what you could do if you moved to a central point and let the world push it for you. With as little as 500 average affiliates we have cashed flowed over $280,000 a year. All you are doing then is making great stuff for customers and promotions for affiliates to promote.

 

Do "more" of what you are doing. That is the beauty of working for yourself.

 

I3Vi, Thanks for the insight. I truly thought about this, as I realized the product I'm pushing actually sells for $40 and I receive a 25% commission ($10). You are absolutely right, if I can market a product of my own I can probably pull in 4 times the amount. I guess the problem is how to develop a product to market. That will definately take alot of research, but thinking of what you said its worth it!

Wow that is actually quite an amazing return already! I would say if you want to make more just keep doing exactly what you are doing, just try and double it, double your strategies, and see if that will make you double your investment.

Well, definitely build your list. As a person whose made it, you know what works. You may also want to consider branching out into other niche markets, too. But the list will no doubt be the multiplier.

Sign up for high-commish products. Then advertise them and get affiliates.

That's how "super affiliates" do it.

No-prescription drugs, and Viagra are examples.

But...it's a totally different world. Pros do this, and it is a cut-throat business.

 

Upscale whatever you are doing. Outsource and automate everything you can.

I have been at this five years and it took me a year and a half to break that a year so you are doing well. The way that I upscaled was to develop my lists. Actually I have recently tried out something that you might implement to help yourself over that barrier. I am an utter fanatic for tweaking my squeeze pages and lists. Basically I give away my most ninja tip, I mean the really money stuff in a two paragrapgh or a min video on the page, then I move them along to a second page, in this one I elaborate on it and move them onto the next page which is a seamless seuge into the aff offer, by that I mean as much as possible same text look, same page layout, same graphics etc. Now, this is somewhat of a departure because for a long time, I have a list of nearly 50k subscribers, I used to get my prospects into a seven - fourteen day e course but after a long conversation with another IMer, they made the very reasonable point, that on landing on my page that is when the prospect is most engaged and ready to buy. Think of it from their point of view, day 1 - "I like the stuff this gal sends out....Day 3 - "I must get around to that".....Day 6 - "I wish they would stop sending me stuff really" and they are very far from buying. Now, this may fly in the face of a lot of what we normally do, long term relationship building but I have noticed my opt-ins and conversions have gone up on this - Two caveats - You must bowl them over with the first thing you tell them on the page, I mean that has to be a nugget of IM gold that they would have paid for - Secondly - The aff offer does not even have to be that closely related to the tip or area, so long as you move them through the two pages and onto the offer page. From what I have seen thus far, they are hot to buy on it. Granted this is not conventional, sell first etc but it works and I get them on my list and I treat my list like gold, so good sale and an email maybe once a month after if I see something that is of use to them. If you are just starting out building again, ad-swaps, low repsonse rate though or where I started, WSOs for free to build. Anyway, thats just something I am trying out if anyone wants to give it a shot too
