I have a site which is made of 300 mini sites. These are working fine and I've made 5 duplicate copies of this site on 5 new domains with renamed graphics, titles etc. I've also renamed the databases for each, but I'm wondering wether google would be picking up the database names? It would make things alot easier if I didn't have to rename each time I duplicate the orginal site.
I think creating mirror sites is a waste of time. Google will soon find out and you won't be getting any SEO boost from them. It's a better idea to create autoblogs. They get bigger over time and you can easily place links to your main moneymaking site.
Sorry I should have given more details. Each of the sites and (mini sites) are auto updating but with original content on each. The database is the same but the pulled products by rss feed are all different on each site due to google visiting the same category of each site at different times. In effect all the sites have original content from each other - it's just the template that is the same, minus renaming the graphics titles and databases. If I don't need to rename the databases and create new ones all the time, this would save a fair bit of time.
To answer your question - No. Google will not pick up database name for website ranking or identify Spam.
