I have new site and submit to more than 100 directories already, but I am wondering why my site still not index by msn even the index only.

Is there a way to get index fast in msn?

I have the same problem. All search engines have become moody now. My site www.thehealthmanual.com has hundreds of links too (many of them showing in msn link: and domainlink: search).

However the site has only 1 page indexed.

I would suggest to trade links with people and get hard linked this would greatly increase your chance for the spider to index your site.

Make sure that on-page factors aren't impeding your indexing. For example, too many links to unrelated content, missing pages (ie links leading nowhere), bad design, missing tags etc can all contribute to reasons why they don't get indexed.

Why is that? Don't you think they would want more people to get indexed because otherwise I think that search engines like Google are going to put them out of business. When I use a search engine I like to be able to see all the sites, not jus tthe ones Yahoo or MSN or some other search engine decide are worth looking at...

I think you should work on getting some deep links. This way, new pages will be indexed also. And make a sitemap for your site also.

Usually MSN search crawls update less frequently than google/yahoo, and so it may have indexed the site (check your site stats for the msn crawler) but may not appear in the search results yet.

try searching for old threads here on DP for this problem. If I remember correctly someone suggests some tips on getting indexed on msn fast by searching for your site and then suggesting it. Just do a quick search.

i think its easy to get indexed by MSn . just add meta tags and meta description and get some links from pages ...you can easily get listed

Now the three big ones give you the possibility to tell them your page and the robot will come to see in less than a couple of days.

This tool is known as sitemaps in google, siteexplorer in yahoo and i don't remember in msn.

    hmmm...
I don't know what you guys are always complaining about but i never had this problem before. :D
I just submit a new site to google, yahoo, msn and dmoz and 3 weeks later i'm already getting traffic from the first 3

I do manual submissions, no software to auto-submit so maybe that's your problem

Do not forget refresh content of your site periodically. MSN likes it very much.
