Drupal 1st day

Hi recently I read about drupal and joomla and I want o learn Drupal. Can any one provide me with good link to start off right from installing drupal and developing a simple site.

I got lots of Joomla documents for right from installation and that went upto developing site. But I heard Drupal is better and I dint find any such documents. :-(

learning drupal is right from the drupal community that's the same way i came to be familiar with drupal

 

Im totaly new to Drupal, I have managed to install and play around with it for a few hours, so far so good but I'm like a fish out of water. Thanks for the links the info is fantastic and dead easy to follow, I think you have just saved me LOL. Again cheers for the resource.
