SEO for Firefox / Yahoo site exploer / No-Follow links question?

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by Outlaw_Racing, Apr 27, 2010.

Anybody else here used it? I am testing it but a little confused, I enabled the "no-follow" links to show me where links are supposedly no-follow on web pages, however I see on Yahoo site explorer that it has got those down as incoming links. Does yahoo site explorer list no-follows or is SEO for firefox not working?

    Thanks

You can only check nofollow when you are actually at the web page and you should double check the source code for rel=nofollow tags to be sure.

Yeah, SEO for firefox is supposed to check it on site, but perhaps it is not working right? or yahoo collecting no-follows anyway?

No follow is more a Google thing than Yahoo

yahoo count no follow even the inner pages from your site, there is no something wrong with your firefox its just the google didn't show no follow links as back links...

Yahoo is showing both do follow and no follow links as backlinks.

As the google backlink checkers is not that helpful, can anyone suggest a better tool?

Thanks for the good advice so far.

Not only yahoo, But even google is also showing nofollow links as backlinks in it's google webmaster tools, I think nofollow links are also considered as backlink (just not followed by google bots to find any new content on that link). Or no follow link will not give you benefit for anchor text keyword, but may consider as backlink.

Any one here is sure about it ???
