Domain registration with 1&1

1&1 prices for .com domains are cheaper than GoDaddy... a lot cheaper if you opt for private domain registration. In the site they claim to be #1 world web hosting company. The question is: are they reliable?

 

I had problems with 1and1 numerous times, they call to verify a transaction for damn $10 usd at 3am! Total waste...

 

Sometimes,people would like to accept a little higher price if they can enjoy good service.Price can never determins
whether a company is good or not.

 

i am seeing lot of bad reviews of 1&1 abt their crappy support. so better you look once b4 regging there

 

1&1 is the world's No. 1 crappiest company out there. You might want to do a Google search of them & read up on all the problems people had/have with them.

 

I have a couple domains at 1and1 for the last 5 years and they are terrible. Their support is horrible and it wasn't fun to try and get used to their interface. It's good that for $8.99 (I think) you get the private registration. Godaddy is $8 on top of the registration but I have most of my domains at Godaddy. Support's pretty good. You just have to get around the constant ads and "buy more" feel.

You might want to consider Name.com. They have free domain privacy. And the prices of their domains are inline with 1&1.

I am in the process of migrating all of my domains that I have with Godaddy & 1&1 to better domain registrars.

 

let me put in a vote for worlds crappiest company being 1 and 1.con

 

1&1 is a bad company.
