Switching from Godaddy to 1&1 ?

    My sites are slow to upload and I was told it could be because Godaddy's hosting is slow and overall bad, so I'm thinking of switching to 1&1...

    Anyone has experience with a similar problem? is it usually solved by switching to a different hosting company?

    Plus, any opinions on 1&1 and Godaddy are welcome.

    1&1 is not the best place for Domains which I know from my personal experience. I don't think they would be better when it comes to support for hosting too.

    Do you mean uploading files from your computer to the server? Or from your users to your website?

    In case of the former, what is the upload speed and the maximum upload speed supported by your internet connection? Also, a single large file is faster to transfer than multiple small ones, so you may try compressing them and then extracting on your server (if your host provides that functionality).

    Im with 1 & 1, and have a dedicated server with them, and only been with them for 1 month though had very good service. As for domain names i dont know what they are like for that as i buy all my domain names from godaddy.
