After moving from blogspot to own domain, can't get on Google!

    I used to have my blog hosted at blogspot but now I have my own hosting. Thing is, no matter how much I submit to google, I can't get my url (http://resourcebasedliving.com) on there. Try typing it into google and you'll see that all the blogspot "Redirecting" links are top, but this url is nowhere to be seen.

    I'm getting no search traffic! Anyone else have this issue!?

    How long since the first redirect begun? You should be aware that Google take times before acknowledge about your redirect and sending the traffics to your new site. If you can see the redirect one above yours then I would assume the redirect has done not a long time ago. Please be patient.

    not only have you moved from blogspot you have started to use wordpress.

    you have 2 lines in your page code causing the problem

    YOU HAVE

    <meta name="robots" content="index,follow" />

    Code (markup):
    AND ALSO
    <meta name='robots' content='noindex,nofollow' />

    Code (markup):

    as you are now using wordpress

    you need to go to
    Dashboard->Options->Privacy

    and adjust your settings to "i would like my blog to be visible..."

    Thank you so much! What a ridiculous setting " I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors"...who would do that?!?

    People setting up a site and trying different things trying to learn how to use wordpress before they want the site to go live.

    Would have been better if it put a big warning at the top of each page tho, as many people don't find that setting until is is pointed out to them :(

    After you change the setting, check your robots.txt as well as it may make changes to it.
