China having problems with Yahoo

sigh...google is such a good search engine...and can give other chinese people to learn more new things.

 

The complexity of the Chinese language, the inability of foreign companies to understand local culture and preferences. Recognizing the need for having a local player who was more attuned to the needs of the local customers. China to increase its market share and the future challenges faced by the company in the highly competitive Chinese market. These are the reasons

 

I don't know why china is doing all these things, even i heard Google China hack story previously, i think the only purpose is that they want promote their own Chinese search engine

 

Well Google Hong Kong is still accessible by Honk Kong users.

I believe they have their own personal reason about it, and we should better leave it that way. Respect each and everyone's opinion regarding this matter is a must.

China's government has some serious insecurity issues.

I think they have good search engines which can serve the needs of Chinese. They had been in this habit since from their independence. The reason for developing China Wall was similar. They rarely like external interruption.

 

India and China are the 2 countries which will be having highest amount of internet users in coming years so obviously it will effect Y and G.

China is the country's most stringent in the surfing problem, not just China, there are 25 countries other than China who have problems in terms of stringent surfing .......... This is very bad...

imo,google and yahoo are the best search engine on the world,we need them,China need them too.

 

You know they are not the only ones right ?
A french site gets taxed 2% more if they use youtube instead of dailymotion. And that's not the only example.

Because that's not what africa / australia / eastern europe / India / USA,etc... do.
If some countries let foreign competition in into such point that their country is owned by others (just go into any Australian / USA / Algerian shop and try to find something made in that country), why does China make such a deal over a search engine ?

You don't get it. Advertisers from around the world are going to start using Baidu only, because it will be the only search engine in China. Then Baidu will go international, and more people will use it, advertisers, publishers, users,etc...

Saying all chinese people are like this is foolish, as the Chinese government (mainland china) does NOT represent the interests of the people - just the government interests (which are mostly filled with fear and insecurity).

 

i think yahoo is bad for china thts why they want ristrict yahoo in china and many more sits are banned thr tooo

 

China can continue to isolate itself fom the world and they will feel the effects commerce wise later. Let them continue in our era of globalization and they will fall from their high horse.
