There is always a possibility :) And we have a case against Google to prove it. :)

If they actually owe you money, but never sent it? Small Chance.
If they just don't want you as a customer? No Chance.

It's like the sign you see in bars and restaurants: "We reserve the right to refuse service to anybody."

Sorry to hear that. Google has been known to do stuff like this in the past. I don't know if you will be successful against Google. But you can try. But
they probably would outlast you because they have more money. When running a business it's good not to have everything in one basket.
It's good to have multiple ways of making money. So if something happens like this it doesn't destroy you and your business doesn't go out of business; you'll still have other ways of making money.

That's true, and a business is within its right to refuse to do business with you. But in that example, the restaurant can't take your money first, then refuse you service and not give you your money back. Yes, Google ARE a big company, but all this talk about "crushing" you is complete nonsense. If you have a legitimate case where they took your money, didn't supply their service, then refused to refund you, take it to the small claims track. It won't cost much, they won't be able to claim their costs against you - no matter how high-powered their attorneys - and you have a fair-to-even chance of winning.

No company or their Terms of Service can over-ride the law, and if what you are saying is all there is to it you should get your money back less any direct costs they can prove.

I understand your frustration....but if you have funds in your account then
you have the right to claim them back.

Ask your lawyer what he thinks.

I have to disagree. If they are refusing to refund his money, and no fraud was involved, then he does have a decent case.

Well depends on your location. For one, you might have to fly over to Google's hometown and fight it there as I'm sure they have a disclaimer in their TOS that says something along the lines of All legal issues arising out of such service will be handled in the "insert court here" of "district here".

I'm curious as to what you did anyways. We're missing an important part which would say for sure whether you'd win or not. There must be a reason why it's a secret, maybe it deals with illegal content topics or one of those that Google does not allow for like Porn.

You always have the chance that they would settle out of court to avoid legal fees, travel, and a small amount of bad publicity. Afterall, I know in my state the small claims court will only hear cases where total damages do not exceed $2,500.00 - and I don't think that the Google Lawyers would blink at that amount, considering travel expenses, hourly wages, paralegal fees, Research on the case, and court fees. Take the chance, it can't hurt you!

Google cancelled my adsense account without ever paying me a dime, so I ceased my adwords account and stopped paying them. ... I can probably file in small claims court by mail but surely I must attend in person to litigate my case against google. Airfare, car rental, hotel … how many people are going to go through that ?
