Question about Google AdSense

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by farneville, Apr 19, 2010.

    Hi folks,

I cannot decide whether to use an Adsense plug in for my self hosted Word Press blog or paste the ads manually as I am worried that the scripts can slow down my site as a whole. Any thoughts or experience that you can share?

    Thanks...

Google Ads do little to no effect in terms of worrying about your site's loading speed. The only thing they would do is probably about 0.01 second of a difference. No need to worry about loading speed.~.~

either one is fine. plugin would not slow you down, some WP blogs use several plugins without any issues

Yes don't worry about speed. Google Ads load much faster than many of the other ad agency ads (ie. bidvertiser, adbrite etc)

I would put them directly in the theme, but if don't feel at ease with php code, then simply use a plug in, doesn't make a difference performance-wise.

I experienced the addition of a sec, probably because of the influence of my connection at 921.6 kbps
