Sending Adwords traffic directly to affiliate link?

Discussion in 'Google AdWords' started by globalcashsite, Mar 26, 2010.

    Hi guys

I am thinking to join some affiliate websites related with Insurance, Hosting & bank loans. I planned to send traffic directly to these websites using my affiliate link? Is this allowed at Google AdWords or google AdWords don't allow to do this?

If they allowed then might be there are hundreds who are doing the same i.e. in this case url will be almost same except change at the end "market code" otherwise all url will be same! What is Adwords policy or your experience?

Officially Adwords allows it, but from the way they've been acting lately, you might be forgiven for thinking they don't want affiliates any more. Thousands of accounts shut down for no good reason.

How about register a new domain then have the domain redirect to your affiliate links?

    Use the domain for Adwords.

I will advise you to use a domain with your autoresponder on its page and then refer them to the affiliate site...this way you keep the custormer as well as the traffic.

Your bid price will be high if not using a landing page.
1 landing page for 1 ad group and several related keywords.
Don't use a lot of keywords.

    Focus in Quality Score.
If Quality Score is 10, your bid price will very cheap.

You can do it but be careful on what you promote. eg emai/zip submits will get slapped within hours.

    Hi buddies

I am planning to market insurance, hosting or bank loans.

Autovirtualmoney, definitely whatever program I join will have a great landing page (associated with my affiliate id). All top insurance, hosting or banking companies pay much attention on quality of their pages so I am sure I should not have any problem with landing pages? What do you say?

Another thing that you quoted is 1 ad 1 landing page. For example I have signed up a insurance company as affiliate and now I have only one affiliate url. Then if I create 5 different text ads in same ad-group then definitely I will use same affiliate url with all those 5 ads. So will this create problem? Should I keep ads to minimum? Do you think 4-5 text ads for same url in same ads-group are high?

Test only two ads at a time. Pause the lesser performing one and add another. Repeat test, at times retrying a previous ad (that's why you pause and don't delete and don't edit). If you test five ads at a time, this is not a good and true test.

Usually building your own landing site is more beneficial as you will not be competing with everyone else who is direct linking. They will only show one url per serp.

It really depends on your strategy...A lot of times it'll be better to direct link but those days may be coming to a close. A landing page is better, but it takes a lot of testing & refinement to get it right...

I have been wondering about this as well, I don't think it would work as well as planned, and they might end up banning you.

Why use Google when there are plenty of other search engines looking for business and who don't penalize you for direct linking - try MSN (Bing) they are more affiliate friendly and you now get 2 for the price of one with the Yahoo partnership!!

For the last time, Google DOES NOT penalize you for direct linking.

this could be a good tactic, especially when you own your own websites and have your own detail products Google search engine add cents................................... as a blogger you can do many things to help promote your products - you could capitalize again by putting your ads cents inside the blog post itself to help promote click ability and readability from your readers

    Thanks

Better make a nice looking landing page with the advertiser review and links. This is the best way to convert using adwords :)

I doubt you'd get banned just for trying. Not sure if the code at the end is seen as a unique url, but I do know they don't allow multiple advertisers to advertise the same site (whether this means domain or page I'm not sure).
