TV - Complete Waste of Time!

    Hi! How many hours a day do you usually spend watching TV? And how many hours a week? And a month? And year?
    Once I’ve counted this figure and was really shocked – PLENTY of time had been wasted instead of making me closer to my life goals and success! After this occasion I refused watching TV and even brought the TV set out of my home. Now I have plenty of spare time which I prefer to use for self development!
    What are your thoughts on this point?

    Ok where to start...

    1) The time that is wasted on TV is when you are watching but the show is not realy somthing you like
    2) shows you like are entertainment, it is not a waste
    3) everything you do can not be work, you need breaks
    4) If you watch no TV you can't talk about funny/cool things from shows w friends

    Since around two years ago, I don't ever watch the TV. I do have one, but I don't have service or an antenna... modern TV is a complete joke, and nothing but garbage mostly.

    I watch approximately 5 hours of TV a week, plus maybe 1 or 2 movies on DVD/DivX. I am comfortable with my level of television consumption, and feel that it contributes to my general knowledge and pop culture awareness. Thank you for asking me about my opinions regarding this subject.

    I try my best not to watch TV and there are times when I'm not watching TV for more than a month. But nowadays I end up watching TV if I get in the same room with somebody who's watching TV (while visiting someone or while I'm away from my PC).

    usually I watch TV about 2 - 3 hours a day. but I don't think that is a waste of time. otherwise we can't code a website or something while having our lunch. but we can watch TV. ;)

    I also dont watch TV anymore! Just watch TV during Cricketing Live Telecast like T20 Matches and their updates! I love the title of this thread because most of webmaster doesn't like TV anymore!

    TV should be more so packaged in times when people actually like watching it. Whats the point if selling someone 24 hours/day TV when they watch only 2-3 hours a day if that? TV should sell packages based around the prime time shows. Forget everything else, no one cares about whats on at 4am unless your smoking crack

    Yeah...a good question. I used to watch it earlier for 3-5 hours. but now its a total NO NO. dont find it interesting anymore. :(

    I usually spend lot of time working on the net and rest of time reading some novels or newspaper. We dont have much entertainment or exiciting shows over the TV. The ones which are there are really boring, so its better to spend some quality time over the net.
