How would this work?

I have a video website. I want to rank high for queries like "{keywords} videos". How would that be possible? So if someone for example searches for "bill gates talking about windows video" then my site would appear at the top results.

How would this be done? Do I have to build links with the anchor keyword as "videos"?

    please help. thanks

You got to have plenty of content containing your target keywords on your pages. Search engines don't see what's inside your video, at least for now. Spiders can only read plain texts on your site. So, if you want to have rankings for your target keywords + video, you need to write content containing your desired keywords.

Building backlinks is another way to inform search engines about what your site is all about. You need to include your keywords in links' anchor texts and point them directly to the pages that are relevant to those keywords.

If you want your inner video pages to get rank for a keyword without doing any tedious deep links building jobs, then you have to build your main domain to become authoritative status.

The good example is imeem, before being purchased from Myspace. They are authoritative website in music category. Most of music name you do searched, their pages always be there and mostly is #1 spot. Another good example is Wikipedia, needless to explain why.

It sounds as though you are interested in starting the lifelong journey that we like to call search engine optimization.

Let me give you some free advice.

First, choose your keywords carefully. use the Google keyword tool https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal, make sure you select EXACT search type, and find about 10-15 different keyphrases that are related to your niche, have more than 1000 searches per month, and that ahve less than 80% competition. This should take you a while, it's not the easiest thing to do.

Next, assign each phrase to a page of your site. Each page will need to be about that search phrase. Your homepage can have 2 key prhases, but make all others have only one.

Do very extensive on page optimization for each page. To get started, make the page title, H1 tag, and an alt attribute of one of the main images be exactly what the assigned key phrase is.

Add about 300 words of completely unique text, near the top of the page, about the assigned key phrase. Put the key phrase in the text a couple of times.

Build backlinks for not only your homepage, but for a few of the inner pages as well. make sure the assigned keyphrase is in the anchor text of each backlinks. Here are a few link building tips.
    - do not trade links
    - do not submit to directories
    - blogpost comments are probbly your best bet,
    - you need them to be 'do follow' links
    - on pages that have PageRank,
    - that have few outbound links
    - continue to build links for as long as you own the site. ~10 per week minimum.

Once you are finished, use social bookmarking of your pages, and submit a google sitemap to get quickly indexed.

    Your crash course is complete!

Nowadays google will give importance for videos also. If you type any keyword in google it will show atleast two videos in SEPR.

If you want your videos in top of the google. Try to follow this step sure you will get in first of google search results.

    1. submit your videos into video sharing sites.(It's hard to upload into all sites)

If you upload your videos your video will come to fist page of google.
    2. create video sitemap and submit into google webmaster tools.
