Anyone using the Thesis Theme? Is it worth getting?

I'm looking to buy a new theme and was looking the Thesis

What to you think? is it worth using?

Or is there a better one I can buy...

Please do not tell me you use a theme to promote your product...

Although the Thesis theme is a great theme and very versatle, you could probably do just fine with a free theme.

Thesis is one of the best SEO optimized theme that we have to buy. But i agree with BlastFree, there are free SEO optimized themes too. I am planning using one of free themes from Chris Pearson (Thesis's creator)

So, it doesnt matter what theme you are using unless you customise the thesis as Blogussion did and everyone in blogosphere appreciates for the work. Your hear will not get complacent until then. I have experienced the same and I am not able to customise thesis correctly. So, I switched to another premium theme but still sometimes some free themes attract me

 

I dont think it is worth the money as there are plenty of free alternatives.

 

Well coming form the coding and SEO world Free themes are not what you think they are in most cases. I have not found one yet that I like that is SEO compliant.

If you think you know where i can find one please point me to it... I will check it out. The only theme I found recently that was free I liked was this one (Theme) but it was no where close to being SEO complaint out the box.

I would have loved to fix it as i usually have to but i has a Google jquery mini running through the CSS and is encrypted.

If someone know how to remove this crap I sure would appreciate it if you would tell me how i can remove this encryption and JavaScript.

 

I'd say you go for it, buy it, but don't just take it as it is, just because it is SEO friendly. I guess SEO best works combined with a very personalized theme and original content. If you manage to make the theme yours (and I mean that as in customized) and have original content, the users that find you using a search engine will become loyal.

Thesis is a very good theme, very flexible. I like it. Altough there are several free good themes (including SEO friendly ones), Thesis is a good choice.

 

Thesis is a good choice for developers. Because the theme is simple, it maybe not very impressive as other graphic themes. So, depends on what are you planning for your blog, you can consider to buy it or not. If you blog as normal (some text, code, ...) it is worth using; but if you want a porfolio, many images in posts, gallery, ... I think Thesis is bad.

You can see some premium theme from ElegantThemes or WooThemes for more choices, because they also make beautiful themes with many options and seo optimized.

Yeah. I am using thesis theme that is much more customizable as you can't imagine. Actually, thesis does that we want.
You can design one, two, three column template and can customize your template 100%. So, your investment will not go wrong. Try to get this one and start a new life.

 

One of our friend used it and its really worth to go with it.

 

I would say that if everyone is talking about a theme, it will probably be less effective since a lot of people would use it. Its worth looking through premium themes like this but don't discard free themes, there are fairly good ones that are SEO optimized, and I really disagree with Blasingame here.

 

Right ! you don't really need to waste your money in buying theme, you can use any free alternative, as you will also like to change your site's lookup in future when you get tired of seeing the same look, free themes will just do the best... you can change theme any time.
