    Need Help
I am a 67 year old business owner looking to retire but I would like to find a person to take over the operation, development and marketing of my website. With our world exclusive product line we have been tremendously successful with wholesale selling into retail accounts for over 10 years. However, we have never really pursued our website business. How can I find a place where I can recruit a qualified individual to join our company as a "non-investment" partner. The annual industry target market for our product is approximately 7.4 billion and we project a minimum internet sales market at between 1 - 3 million dollars annually. Any assistance that you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
The person who would handle the website would simply be required to do aggressive marketing, whereas, we would handle the accounting, and drop shipping directly to the customer...this is a GREAT opportunity!!
I'm not sure if I am permitted to enter my website here, so I won't, at this time.
    Ken

    Hello Ken,

I have a proven track record!!! I have been an IMer for quite sometime and I am doing it now full time. You can contact me via PM so that we can further discuss how I can bring your site or sites to be indexed and ranked in record time. We provide all sorts of services but it is unethical for me to discuss further details here on the post. Try not to put your websites on the posts, many people can see that as unethical, and I know you mean well but just so you avoid others accusing you of anything. I look forward to hearing more details from you in the PM. I will not promise anything until I can see what type of work your sites will need!

Thank you for advising me about NOT posting my websites on the forum...I am new to all this. For clarification purposes, I am NOT looking for someone to fix my sites, I am seeking a qualified individual to "take over" complete marketing of my site.
A Business development expert has anylized one of my sites and projects a potential 3 million dollar annual sales volume which I am willing to turn over to someone who knows what they are doing on the internet. I do not have time to mess with it!

I'm sorry...I'm just asking for suggestions in how I can find a qualified individual to take over internet marketing of my product. Of course, after spending 8 years developing our product line I'm not going to just hand it over without checking qualifications...that would be a joke, as you put it. I'm not in this forum to con, solicit, or deceive anyone. I have a successful business, selling to the retail trade, but I know nothing about internet marketing...and I'm too old to want to learn.
Also, since I'm new to forums, I don't understand what you mean by "And you are looking for this position on this forum?"

Sandro, like you I have my reservations. Especially with such a high earning potential. However, we sometimes have to give people the benefit of the doubt. And anyone that does take on the challenge of administering Ken's sites should have some sort of agreement where both parties are protected. Particularly for such high revenue... That there are people online that are serious about BUSINESS, YES THERE ARE, that there are more scammers, of course BUT everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. In this case, I do not see how anyone can lose. It does not seem like Ken is asking for any money so if both parties set everything in writing, it might be done. HEY, if I was a marketer and had experience with marketing a site I would give it a shot. So my advice to all those interested and to KEN, review previous work and customer satisfaction and put everything on paper, or email for that matter!!!

I guess I'm getting in over my head in this forum thing. I've never done it before, so, I'm probably not communicating correctly! Of course, there would be a contract to protect all parties, just like the agreements that I have with my sales agencies across the US & Canada. But, I think we are getting ahead of ourselves. I don't know how I can convince forum members that this is not a con,or spam, or whatever else it may be called. I have an existing successful wholesale business, but, know nothing about internet marketing...it's that simple! There is an opportunity here for someone who can look past skepicism and consider that there may be just a chance that this is for real.

sure, I understand. I guess all I wanted to say is that it's hard to earn trust on the internet, and it goes both ways between an employee and employer... in your place I would go through traditional channels, it's safer easier, recruiting through internet isn't something done with success so many times!
It did strike me though, that original post seemed like a work offer, but lacked clear guidelines. I also don't see what you expect from us from this post? Are you looking for a person to take job? ok good, you will receive 100 PM's, and then what are you gonna do? First thing I learned on my market research class is to pre-screen, be specific as possible with the job specification, clarify what are rules and roles - this helps to clear out people who don't qualify from the very beginning. These steps will give us sense that this is legitimate, will give us feeling that there is real job behind.

I understand that the internet can be a haven for con men and preditors, but sometimes people miss an opportunity through their own skepicism. And, perhaps digital point was not the ideal venue to try to get information regarding professionals in internet marketing. I also used the Startup Nation forum, at the same time, and have already received 3 professional internet marketers who are interested in taking over my business. Of course, now I need to qualify these individual as to their credentials, experience and commitment to taking over my business. My posts on the digital point forums were sincere, my offer to give away my internet business was sincere, and my statement that as a 67 year old successful businessman I wanted to retire was true...more than that, I have no way to convince people that what I am offer is legitimate!

    Ken, where are you located?
Look for someone you can at least meet in person.
BTW, how are you planning to pay the person?

Hard to believe, all the things said and read here, however I would still give it a try. Are you looking for a freelancer or a company who can do your site's marketing ? Your stats seems to be pretty good and thatz the reason couple of them are saying that it sounds like a joke ;)

Ken . . . "non-investment" and "give away my internet business", sounds like a sucker punch, whether you intend it that way or not. Someone could bust their butt, in the hopes of getting a free high-potential business and wind up with one more sad story to tell. Everyone knows the expression, "all that glistens is not gold". On the other hand, if this is a real problem you are trying to solve, the correct way to do it is to hire the equivalent of a General Manager for a year, so that both parties get to know each other. Saying "this is not a scam" reminds me of Richard Nixon saying "I am not a liar" . . . but he was. One more . . . "if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is".

I would suggest looking for Internet Marketing companies on search engines like google bing or yahoo. There you will be able to find all of the information that you are looking for without having to explain everything on the forum. You'll find the larger companies on there too. You will find lots of fantastic internet marketers on forums but it might be easier just to search for them :) Good luck :)

I think you should talk to a local head-hunter in your town. The truth is that the integrity of the person you choose is more important that the other qualifications. So, engaging the services of a good personnel search person should yield a quality potential "partner". Also, you should consider having your lawyer draft out a good agreement, so you don't end up losing your entire company. Sorry, but I don't trust people that much!

I hope you find someone of good quality however, and I must say that this is might magnanimous of you!

Sounds like a bit of a joke this, if your company was earning the kind of money you claim then why dont you research for a reputable company which deals with large businesses like yours and can take care of your online operations instead of posting on a Webmaster Forum like DigitalPoint where it is unlikely you will find anyone to meet your requirements. I see one of your web sites is for Photo on Canvas? me and my brother run one of the UKs most popular Canvas Art Production Companies, what is your target market?
