I am keen to know about the value of this website of mine as I have plan to sell it in the near future: http://downloadfreewaresoftware.com/ Does anyone have any idea how much it worth, it received around 100 to 150 a day visitors from Google.
Oic. Then I need to wait for about 12 months before selling it, eh? I wish to sell now as I have other projects to attend to. This site is listed front page of Google for the keyword download freeware software.
WharfeValley is correct. You need to have a projection. From the sounds of it you just bought it and set it up and have no real idea if its worth anything. Having a keyword is great, but whats the competition like in your niche? How many visitors do you get daily? Whats the bounce rate? You need numbers if you wanna sell. Also, are you selling your content? How many backlinks do you have? Whats your sites PR? Selling a site is like selling a house, no one wants to buy something that isn't worth anything to them no matter if its on a good street.
Thanks for your response. I never sold a site before. The site having 100+ visitors a day, no pagerank, its' income mostly from Google Adsense around $0.60 to $1 per day. Backlink, I try to check it. Maybe you can suggest a good tool to check. Cus the one I use (online-based) always said the "Yahoo quiries for today has met quota. Try again next time." duh.
I check with the Ministatus.com, it says the estimated value is € 2,405. But some other tools say it worth is $400. Which are obviously inconsistent. This seems pretty interesting to me, though.
Well if your site is making $1 per day, that $30 per month $360 per year. So as a rough estimate your site is worth $300, other variables include site design, unique content, pr etc. Whether someone is willing to pay that is a different matter
There are some organizations that analyze websites and will give you a free estimate. As others have said here, you need to take into consideration net worth as well as projected sales. If you spent $100 creating it, and it is making about a dollar a day, which in turn equals $365 in just adsense, then the $400 seems about right. Then of course you have to consider that people will want to negotiate, which means you will end up selling for less than that.
I don't think your site is worth much because it is really very "NEW". So, if you want to seel it with a higher price, you'd better build more backlinks for this site and promote it with different types of online marketing strategies. When your site is growsing gradually, then you can plan to sell it.
Its at least worth $10 (cost of domain at market value). But new sites are a dime a dozen. Its only 3 months 9 days old.
I check my website's backlinks coming in via Market Samurai. If you'd like its extended free version, check: http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/training/preseason/marketsamurai.php I hope that helps.
Hurmm really. Just want to add it also earn around $20 to $30 with OneNetworkDirect a month. Guess I should focus on this. I checked on Flippa. There are many new sites are bought for more than $100, even younger than mine with no revenue. Agree with WharfeValley Systems, from my observation on flippa most sites that get lots of bid is the site that making money, despite the age. The more money it makes per day the higher its' price website buyer willing to pay.
If your making anything without a pr then thats pretty good, i have a pr 3 blog thats making nothing still
I was trying to sell a site the other day, it's made 2,500 in 2 months and growing and i could not even get a offer of 2-3x revenue so 12months rev for a domain that length and so little traffic you would be pushing your luck one would think.
If you sell on DigitalPoint, buyers will buy it for about 2-3 months x current revenue, so about $60 for your site. Private buyers will buy it for more if you can find one.
