hello... i have a newly created news blog.. but i wonder how to start doing SEO... i applied it to google news 2 days ago.. it responded but saying they will review first..i responded to the ticket saying that i abide the technical requirements and other things..how long will the site be included...and improve my traffic? any idea how to increase my traffic and rank? thanks!

Feeding your blog with worth reading content is the key to success. You don't really have to spend too much time asking for backlinks if your blog is loaded with useful contents because they will just automatically link to your blog once they found your blog worth mentioning.
i applied it 3 days ago... when I applied it..there's an immediate reply..about responding and they will review the site.. how much longer does it take to be reviewed and finally be included in the google news? they say no need for SEO if you are putting your site to google news..is that true? please give me guidelines... thanks!
