Contest $50 Logo creation contest for new line of hookahs and flavored tobacco

My company is creating a new line of flavored hookah tobacco and a new line of hookahs that we plan on branding and we need a cool logo. We're looking for something hip, sexy, and trendy, perhaps with a little middle eastern inspiration to it but this is not necessary.

The logo will be used on our website AND on our products so we need it to look good printed too. Please ask yourself if the logo is worth $50 before submitting, we are looking for quality here. There's no set time limit on this contest but we are looking for something relatively soon. Definitely this week. Payment to be made via PayPal.

The logo must say: Ballaj
Background should be dark
NO STOCK IMAGES!
We will retain all rights to the image once payment has been made

,but other than that feel free to get creative and good luck! Looking forward to what you all can come up with!

Looking good so far! I honestly like all 3 entries so far for different reasons.

cholisnur: I like the lettering a lot but it seems like it's missing something
HerDish: very cool, would it be possible to add a small hummingbird, perhaps looking like it's getting nectar from your flower design?
dcd2008: I like this one a lot too, but not sure about the grainy background.

I'd like to see a few without middle eastern influence and maybe a little good old fashioned American sex appeal to it as well for contrast. Keep it up everyone! I can't wait to see what else you guys come up with!

hey guys, sorry i haven't been around for feedback. the hookah business can get a little time consuming =)

I'll take a look at everything in a bit and give you some feedback after i show everyone's designs to the owner. Looking good so far, thanks for all your submissions! If the owner sees one he would like to work with we may have a winner today. stay tuned!

Alright everyone, thanks again for your submission. Unfortunately the owner has been away on business all day so the contest will be running through the weekend if anyone else would like to get in a submission.

Just a quick note: I'd like to see a little more creativity if you're going to place a hookah (or any graphic) in your submission. It kind of looks to me as if they were thrown in for the sake of being there, except for dcd's first submission where it actually looks as if it's being smoked, which I though was good.

Less is more.

I'll probably log on a few times and give a little bit more feedback over the weekend.
