Google always keep the formula in secret. One of my website dropped from pr6 to pr4 long ago. It has 500k backlinks and the domain is 7 years old.
PR4 seems reasonable to get. If you have higher pr, then you are so lucky.

Rentdn, how old is your bidding directory ?
    Is it recently ?
I had mine for 2 years now and after the first year, it started to drop in PR.
I'm curieus now how long your site will be on this same PR.
Everyone knows that lately google doesn't like bidding directories anymore.
Thanks to Matt Cutt or something.

I've gained in the past my PR through hard working of promoting,
not of buying domains that had already a high pr.
I find it all dishonest to punish all bidding directories.
Hard working must be rewarded, what ever paid site you have.

With that reason, I don't look anymore at my PR.
I find my Alexa ranking and visitors status more important.
Without them, you can't make any sale.

    Jason

Maybe you are the one making them catch on it.

Its a risk that a person can take but I think its worth it even for a short time.
The owner should have made the buyers informed though.

Can anyone tell me how much would a PR7 directory website worth? Ive got a couple of online directories which is currently building backlinks to them and managed to get around 3 PR9 backlinks and 7 PR8 Backlinks to them. I still got around 400 backlinks list from PR5 to Pr7 websites which I am currently doing. I want to sell it after Google update the PR in July.

    Thanks

It's impossible to give you such estimates without knowing the domain

A link bidding directory offers webmasters a simple and cost-effective way to gain extra exposure and higher rankings for their sites. Websites being bid on are grouped into categories (e.g., entertainment, business, money and ect).

Hi Since we in the same topic here I would like to ask how much would a PR7 directory be worth? I got a guy who has a PR7 directory which he want to sell for $6000. The directory is only 4 months old and in that 4 months he didnt launch the site all he have done is building backlinks for 4 months. He said he still going to continue to do link building for new owner till the next update or 2. I have found some backlinks from his site which came from WC3, BBC, CNN and so on.

    Is it a good price?
